Heat exchange equipment is found in almost every home and office
— in the form of heaters, fridges, gas bottles, air conditioners and more.
This makes the recycling of these electronic items and their metal
casings especially important.
During recycling, it is critical that substances such as refrigerant
gases, compressor oils and the gases commonly found in gas bottles
are properly managed to prevent environmental contamination.
These gases also pose significant safety risks to those handling
pressurised equipment.
